Conservation victory in SC Lowcountry

Four hundred and twenty five acres of the French Quarter Plantation in the Lowcountry of South Carolina near the Francis Marion National Forest have been purchased by conservationists, protecting the land from “development”. One more piece of our beautiful Southern land has been saved from destructive bourgeois pursuits and “Progress” and will be held for the benefit of future generations.

  1. I can’t understand why destroying fields and woods to make room for housing tracts is called progress. I never will.
